CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Activities happens in College as a part of extra curriculum.

To compliment and strengthen the students’ academic learning, we had conducted a wide range of co- curricular activities comprising of sports, games, cultural program, intra and inter college competitions to bring about all round development. Participation of the students in different co – curricular activities makes them lead an enthusiastic and active life by developing awareness and cultivates such traits of character, as self mastery, discipline, courage and confidence under the able guidance of teachers.

a. Sports:- The benefits of playing sports are multiple, and it leads to a balanced mental and physical growth. It teaches children life skills like teamwork, leadership, and patience. It inculcates discipline and playing within the rules. Builds sportsmanship, which is to deal with both winning and losing with grace. All of these experiences and habits are also useful in adult life.

For a student’s comprehensive physical development as well as for recreational aspiration, a well-structured physical training and sports curriculum is in place at the college. Students are encouraged to spend equal time on both physical and academic curriculum, active participation in cricket, football, basketball, as part of seasonal games is as inevitable as academic calibre.

The sports infrastructure has been built painstakingly over the years keeping in pace with modern day sport equipment and accoutrements.

There are football fields, a tennis court, volleyball courts, indoor badminton courts, one basketball court, and one cricket ground on campus. Sports also results in the improvement of self-esteem for certain students who may not be good in academics and makes them believe in themselves, which may result in improved academic performance.
